Employment
It is that time of year again! Beginning February 1st, we will accept resumes for a variety of teaching positions for the 2010-2011 school year. Please note that in 2010-2011 our school will have grades 6, 7, 8 and 9. We will continue growing until we the fall of 2013 when we will have grades 6-12.
At this time, we are aware of the following vacancies:
- Lead Teacher, responsible for New Teacher Mentoring, Professional Development, Teaching a Seminar course
- Math, including Integrated Algebra and Geometry (grades 6-9)
- Science, including Living Environment (grades 6-9)
- Social Studies (grades 6-9)
- Spanish (Level I & II)
- Special Education, CTT (grades 8-9)
Please note that first round interviews will be held in the evenings the weeks of March 8th and March 15th. Second round interviews and demo lessons will be held during the regular school day here at UASCJ. Final decisions will be made by the end of May. There will be a staff retreat in early June for the staff of 2010-2011 school year.
All applicants must have valid NY State Teaching Certifications in the appropriate subject area. Teacher candidates should send cover letters, resumes and past evaluations to graham@uascriminaljustice.org.
