  • 6th Grade Theme:  Community

          Major Texts:  House on Mango Street and Seedfolks

  • 7th Grade Theme: Independence and Rebellion

         Major Texts:  Holes and Charlotte Doyle

  • 8th Grade Theme:  Social Justice

         Major Texts: Roll of Thunder Hear My Cry and Grapes of Wrath

  • High School:  English classes will culminate in a Regents examination

           in the 10th grade.  Students will be expected to study 4 to 6 novels a year.
