Jamie Boileau, 9th Grade
Ms. Boileau grew up in Bluefield, West Virginia. She earned her BA in Theater from George Mason University and her MA in Educational Theater and English from New York University. Prior to becoming a full-time educator in 2008, Ms. Boileau worked professionally as an actor, secretary, and occasional barista. Having played "pretend school" from age four onwards it was probably not a big surprise that her life's work would be in education. She has been a teacher at UASLE since 2013 and has taught 9th, 10th, and 12th grade ELA as well as Drama and College and Career Readiness. She currently teaches 11th grade ELA and AP English Literature and Composition.
She lives in Brooklyn with her husband, son, daughter, and cats Socks and Fruit Punch. She loves going out to eat with friends, visiting parks and museums, and most especially, attending Broadway shows.
