Nicole Marino grew up in Staten Island, New York. She saw CATS, her first Broadway musical, at 3 years old, and slept through the entire show. Despite that inauspicious start, she fell in love with Broadway and went to see musicals as often as possible. She became hooked on Shakespeare in 6th grade, and after taking a drama elective in high school, there was no turning back. Theater became her life.
Ms. Marino earned a BA in Dramatic Literature and Theater History from NYU, an MA in Applied Theatre from The Royal Central School of Speech and Drama in London, and an MA in Arts Administration from Baruch College.
After working as a substitute teacher for several years, Ms. Marino became certified to teach both Theater and English in 2008. She has taught both subjects at the middle and high school level.
Ms. Marino has been teaching high school drama at UASLE since 2016. In 2023, she took on an additional exciting role: AP Psychology teacher!
