Ms. Resnik

Ms. Resnik was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina. She attended the National Hispanic University in San Jose, California, where she got her associate's degree in Mathematics and Science, and then completed a Bachelor of Science in Biology with a concentration in Microbiology and a minor in Chemistry at San Jose State University. During her undergraduate years, Ms. Resnik also worked in a microbiology laboratory at SJSU and was awarded an internship at UC San Diego, where she spent a summer studying pathogenic microbes . She also found a passion for teaching while working as a tutor and middle school bilingual home school liaison, helping Spanish-speaking students who were often the children of migrant farmworkers.

Although she enjoyed life on the West Coast, Ms. Resnik missed the big city life of her childhood, so she decided to move to New York City and begin a career as a science teacher while pursuing a master's degree in teaching. Ms. Resnik has been a 6th grade science and 7th grade health teacher at UASLE since 2016. She loves getting to meet new 6th grade students every year and learn about them and their families.
