Enrichment Programs

To help our students prepare for the rigorous coursework of college, we encourage and support many of our students to take advantage of the many opportunities available outside of our school. Programs such as SEO (Sponsors for Educational Opportunity), Opp Net and Minds Matter provide continuous academic support as well enrichment experiences over the course of several years. Students in these programs have been able to participate in summer programs on college campuses and even abroad. Just last summer, we had students travel to Costa Rica, Korea, Turkey, Spain and Mexico.

Over the years we have also encouraged high-performing students to apply to the Center for Talented Youth which allows students as young as rising 8th graders to take courses on college campuses over the summer. UASCJ students have spent summers on campuses in Rhode Island, Pennsylvania and California through the CTY program.
